This site is obviously sponsored by large retailers that use known carcinogenic ingredients and somehow they get higher ratings than natural products! Dont be fooled!

If you care about animal testing, this app doesnt address it. Furthermore, it appears their idea of whats safe and whats not is based on FDA guidelines, which some of us dont trust. Sodium laurel sulfate, petrolatum, and artificial colors are ok in personal care products? No thank you.

Very misleading app. Info is not true. Many items have high ratings & are actually NOT TRUE. False information is putting your health at risk. App should be banned.

This apps rating are ambiguous, which lead one to wonder how "bimbo white bread" was rated a 10 for health while the "bimbo whole wheat bread" scored a 6.9... Then you notice that the white bread is available in the "sponsored" store and the picture starts to clear up. This is anecdotal, but so is what appears to be the entire app. I get you have to make money but your not even doing a good job concealing your biased sales tactics. NEXT!

A quick glance in a busy world & you can minimize your footprint & be a more ethically & socially responsible person. I was amazed and disappointed with the products that I had been buying! More proof that advertising works a terrible magic – tricking buyers into thinking we are being responsible consumers. I am so glad to come across this brilliant app! Id spend money on it and get it if it werent free. Really makes life easier, helps with tracking down your products and their impacts on us and our societies and our planet. Hope they have more products on their list soon. So far they only have reports on the products that are available in the US.

Thank you for empowering us with knowledge, the analysis to make judgement calls and ability to make our bodies and lives more toxin free. I love this app! Its very easy to use. It breaks down each product and explains the scores. Totally changed the way I view the products Ive bought. However this app freezes A LOT!!!! That definitely needs to be fixed.

This is a very useful app to educate yourself on ingredients in almost everything you use or consume.

I find this app easy to use. Very surprised at some of the more expensive brands that I use that are rated low for health and inexpensive alternatives!

Just wish it had more of the products that I used rated. But overall I think this is a great tool/app.

I used to spend so much time searching online for products that reached my ethical standards, but now this app has made that process much more convenient! I understand this app is small so it does not have all the products or companies categorized, but I expect it will grow to encompass much more information. Thank you so much for making this app :D

I like this app for many household supplies, but it doesnt seem to recognise a large variety of brands. I think it could use updates in that respect. Otherwise, its very functional!

Ive been wanting an app like this forever!!!

The new app still doesnt fix the flaws with GoodGuides system with gathering information for the products it rates. A product, like an antiperspirant can contain harmful ingredients and still not be flagged as harmful, since their system isnt accurate or up to date. Or the same brand product in a different scent can get a low score simply because the product info is outdated or the product is no longer manufactured. Formulas change and GoodGuide doesnt always keep up. Product photos and images dont always match up. Hopefully Underwriter Laboratories will clean house and fix the flaws. The app is a great idea, just not trustworthy. GoodGuide public relations is less than willing to admit any flaw or shortcoming, instead they give excuses. The full website is better at discerning issues, yet the problems still exist. One doesnt need an app to tell you what products to buy. doing research on the internet and becoming a smart consumer doesnt require an app. We are not sheep. You would think Good Guide would care more about fixing flaws in their crowd sourcing system more than a fancy new logo.

This app has helped me be more conscious of the products I buy as how they affect my health and the environment. I will definitely be changing my familys shopping list!

True to its name Good Guide is a good (but not perfect) Guide (but not sovereign). Its a great place to start and maybe push you in one direction over another but still requires some independent research. Keep it up! Thanks!!

Great app. But it crashes every time I try to use search or scan.
